“Walk or Play Outside”
Today’s Challenge, to spend some time outside, arrives at a time when much of our country is experiencing storms and poor weather. For those who can’t get outside today, do something else for God, such as read for an hour. Stay safe. The rest of us are challenged to get outside and enjoy some fresh air.
Yes, the Challenge is actually to “Walk or Play”, but the intent is just to encourage us to spend some time outside in God’s great world. Breathe some fresh air. Watch the birds fly. Take a few steps on the beach or find a nice bench outside to sit and relax. All of this counts for today’s Challenge, as long as we can take some time to enjoy what the LORD has provided.
The Saturday Challenges are usually a bit easier for the Lenten Season, so don’t let this one slide by. If you happen to be close to Longboat Key, Florida, this weekend is the “Arts in the Garden” at the Longboat Island Chapel. Lots of artists will be displaying their work, local musicians will be playing throughout the weekend, and food trucks will be on hand as well. A portion of all sales will be used to benefit the restoration of Longboat Key parks and public spaces that were impacted by the Hurricanes last Fall.
Let’s get outside if we can! God has something special to share!
“Just ask the animals, and they will teach you. Ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you. Speak to the earth, and it will instruct you. Let the fish in the sea speak to you. For they all know that my disaster has come from the hand of the Lord. For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being.” (Job 12:7-10)
