“Share Yourself with Someone Else”
Whew! Finally, we arrive at an easy and enjoyable Lenten Challenge! Today’s Challenge is to share ourselves with someone else. Essentially, this means that we should find a way to interact with another person.
Sometimes, we forget that other people want to spend time with us. Yes, believe it or not, someone wants to spend time with us today. Phone calls and texts definitely qualify, but let’s also be proactive to have a personal encounter with another person. As we discovered firsthand during the pandemic quarantines, interacting with others is very important for our health. It is equally important to friends, loved ones, and even complete strangers to know that they are valued, respected, and loved.
Today, let’s find a way to interact with as many people as possible. All of us introverts might struggle with this a little bit, but that’s the intent. We need to learn to break out of our shells, even if it’s for just one day. The benefits are evident. We need other people and they need us!
Share yourself with Someone else today!
“For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.” (Romans 1:11-12, ESV)
